Dennis C. Valet is a senior associate attorney and dedicates 100% of his practice to litigation. Mr. Valet’s intense focus on real estate and personal injury litigation has quickly secured his reputation as an innovative and intelligent advocate for his clients.

Mr. Valet’s experience and success arguing motions, trials and appeals earned him the distinction of being named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star in 2016 at the age of 30, making him one of the youngest attorneys to receive the prestigious award which is given to no more than 2.5% of all eligible attorneys.

In addition to his general real estate and commercial litigation practice, Mr. Valet is on the leading edge of real estate brokerage litigation where he acts as outside litigation and compliance counsel to New York’s largest real estate brokerage firm.

To maximize awards for his personal injury clients, Mr. Valet utilizes his experience and skills from complex commercial litigation to bring a professional and meticulous approach to representing victims of negligence.

In addition to his work inside the courtroom, Mr. Valet has published legal articles on topics such as trivial defects in trip and fall accidents, the use of drones in real estate brokerage, and the implementation of historic common law doctrines to defend real estate brokers from liability. He has instructed continuing legal education courses for attorneys and judged national mock trial competitions for law school students.

Mr. Valet received his law degree from The Hofstra University School of Law where he was an associate editor of the Labor and Employment Law Journal. Prior to law school, Mr. Valet received his undergraduate degrees from Boston College. He is a graduate of The Stony Brook School, a college preparatory located in Stony Brook, New York.

In his spare time, Mr. Valet races with the Sports Car Club of America, is a sports photographer, plays ice hockey, and enjoys sailing on the Great South Bay.
